change

it is normally customary for people to make new resolutions at the start of each new year, but do these resolutions actually translate to changes?

i recently played basketball with my colleagues at work. normally, i would use my extra pair of glasses for sports but since i don't have it at home, i resorted to using my daily one and running into the risk of damaging it. true enough, a small accident happened and now its damaged.

so, an event has happened and now i am more determined to NOT use my daily specs for contact sports. i am more determined to CHANGE.

look at the recent landslide issue in Malaysia. only when disaster strikes, then only the government is starting to take action. Note the word 'starting'. sometimes i wonder if human nature is such that we tend to only take the retrospective mindset all the time, trying to correct a problem that has happened.

Ever thought of switching to a more anticipating or prospective mindset? then, the problem might not even happen at all! this problem could be as big as the US Subprime mortgage crisis, or as small as damaging one's spectacles, which only cause discomfort to the eyes.

Then again, if i can't see well, maybe looking backwards or forwards will be an issue itself.

Small problems lead to BIG problems if not resolved early.
